You Came from Eternity lyrics

Verse 1

Solo: You came from eternity Poured out Yourself in human frame God Himself, born as man to die for all The immortal, You took up mortality A high priest like no other Went into the holy of holies To offer the sacrifice for sins And obtained mercy for all

For all time and eternity That life be brought to light God and man, made one in Christ

Chorus

You are the spotless lamb of God That was crucified and sacrificed In judgement and atonement for all sins You stood as the mercy seat In the holy of holies To present us holy as You are

You are the spotless lamb of God That was crucified and sacrificed In judgement and atonement for all sins You stood as the mercy seat In the holy of holies God of wisdom and knowledge We adore and glorify Your holy name

Verse 2

All: Sin was dealt with once and for all The power of hell was ceased forever Death was cancelled for all eternity

Solo: You led captivity captive And made a public show of Your defeated foes In a triumphant parade The battle won by Your death

All: And the victory gained By Your resurrection

Chorus

You are the spotless lamb of God That was crucified and sacrificed In judgement and atonement for all sins

You stood as the mercy seat In the holy of holies God of wisdom and knowledge We adore and glorify Your holy name

All: With great might and victory Over satan’s dark domain You rose from the grave The gates of glory opened
